The Freedom Trail winds a 2.5 mile path along red brick or red line from the visitors center at the Boston Common and winds its way over to the Charlestown Navy Yard.
Sixteen significant historic sites are on the Freedom Trail:
- The Boston Common
- The State House
- Park Street Church
- Granary Burying Ground
- King’s Chapel
- King’s Chapel Burying Ground
- Benjamin Franklin Statue/Boston Latin School
- Old Corner Book Store
- Old South Meeting House
- Old State House
- Site of the Boston Massacre
- Faneuil Hall
- Paul Revere House
- The Old North Church
- Copp’s Hill Burying Ground
- Bunker Hill Monument
- USS Constitution
Ten of those sites are also on the list of 1,000 Great Places in Massachusetts.
The Freedom Trail by itself is great walk along the historic streets of Boston.
Cost: $0 (Much more if you want to go inside the sixteen sites.)
