Smile Earth

See that little blue dot, just above the arrow. That’s you. And me, and the rest of the planet. The Moon can be seen as a fainter protrusion off its right side.

On July 19, 2013, the Cassini spacecraft turned its lens toward home and captured Saturn’s rings and our planet Earth and its moon in the same frame.

Earth, is 898 million miles (1.44 billion kilometers) away in this image.
